The SHS Group at Eurosatory 2026: combined steel competence for Europe's security

At the international defence fair Eurosatory in Paris, SHS - Stahl-Holding-Saar – will be presenting its comprehensive range of steel and forged solutions for the European security and defence industry. With its member companies Dillinger, Saarstahl, Saarschmiede, Saar Stahlbau, Jebens and Ancofer, and the onward processing companies of Saarstahl Precision, the SHS Group operates as a provider of integrated solutions for defence products in steel – from steel production, via further processing, right through to the pre-finished component.
The group has decades of experience and technological competence in security- and defence-relevant applications. DIFENDER security and armoured steels from Dillinger, for example, have been accredited in accordance with TL 2350-0000 for Federal Armed Forces applications for many years, enabling the construction of complete military vehicles. Alongside steels for marine applications, the licensed DIFENDER grades, nine in total, cover a wide range of military applications – from MRAP vehicles to security-critical infrastructure.
Another milestone in this area: the successful certification of the SHS Group in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001. That joins the numerous existing military and industrial accreditations such as DIN 2303 Q2 and TL 2350-0000, and emphasises the high standards set by the group in the areas of information security, quality and reliability.

The defence portfolio of the SHS Group includes:
- steels for marine applications and DIFENDER armoured steels for military vehicles and critical infrastructure from Dillinger (also ex stock from Ancofer Stahlhandel)
- input stock for large-calibre, medium-calibre, mortar and infantry ammunition from Saarstahl
- special materials and forged components from Saarschmiede
- additional welding materials, drawn wire and cold rolled strip from Saarstahl Precision
- pre-finished welded assemblies and component manufacture from Saar Stahlbau and Jebens
Production and processing are carried out at qualified locations in Germany and France, ensuring a high-performance European supply chain.
